Loving mother of Joseph De Franco Jr. and his wife Shirley of Paterson, Anthony De Franco and his wife Brenda of Wayne and the late Gregory De Franco (2021). Dear mother in law of Rochelle De Franco of Montclair. Loving grandmother of Brooke De Franco, Gregory De Franco, Olivia De Franco, Christin De Franco and Anthony De Franco. Great grandmother of Micah Caloo. Sister of Marie Melone of Clearwater, FL. Born in Paterson, she lived in Paterson lifelong. She was an SGA Secretary for Montclair State College for thirty years before retiring in 2003. Evelyn enjoyed playing cards as well as trips to Atlantic City and to the Jersey shore. She was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan. She was a great cook and baker. Evelyn cherished any time spent with her grandchildren especially during holidays. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Thursday, Dec. 21, 2023 at 10:00 AM.
