Traina, Pauline (nee Passafaro), age 87 of Totowa on December 14, 2023. Beloved wife of 63 years to the late Paul Traina Sr. (2018). Loving mother of Michael Traina Sr. & his wife, Elizabeth of Whippany, Thomas Traina Sr. & his wife, Dawn of Mullica Hill and the late Paul Traina Jr. (2022). Mother-in-law of Patricia Traina of Totowa. Dear sister of Anna Marie Passafaro of Woodland Park. Devoted grandmother of Susan Malone & her husband John, Frank Traina, Jack Traina, Michael Traina Jr, Marisa Traina, Thomas Traina Jr., Matthew Traina and the late Paul Traina III (2012). Great grandmother of Madline, Margot, & George Malone. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews and great grand nieces and nephews. Born in Paterson, she lived in Totowa for most of her life. She was an employee for Verizon Phone Company, East Orange for 25 years before retiring. Prior to that, she worked for North Jersey Developmental Center, Totowa for 13 years, and she also worked for NJ Bell Telephone Co., Paterson for 7 years. She was a parishioner of St. James R.C. Church, Totowa and was a member of their travel group. She was a member of the Totowa Happy Seniors, the Italian American Independent Club and the Deborah Hospital Foundation (Totowa/Wayne Chapter). She was a den leader, commissioner and den leader coach for Cub Scout Pac 26, Totowa. Pauline was active in the Totowa PAL and with the Totowa PTA. She was the past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Passaic Valley Elks, #2111, Totowa. She was the past president of St. James Rosary Society and was a CCD Teacher at St. James for many years. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Monday at 9:15 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. James RC Church, Totowa at 10:00 AM. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may visit Saturday 7:00 - 9:00 PM and Sunday 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 PM.
