Obituary of Dora C. Benio

Benio, Dora C. (nee Frezza), age 97 of Paterson at rest in Wayne on October 13, 2023. Beloved wife of the late John Benio, Jr. (1985). Loving mother of Christine Birchenough of Paterson. Adoring grandmother of Nicole Morales and her husband Felix of Ohio and Michael Birchenough of Montclair. Doting great-grandmother of Lakenya Morales and Felix Morales III. Dear daughter of the late Angelo and the late Angelina Frezza. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Born in Cedar Grove, she moved to Paterson in 1957 where she resided for most of her life. She was a Homemaker. Mrs. Benio was a long-time parishioner of St. Gerard R.C. Church, Paterson and a member of their Senior Citizen's Club. She was a member of the PV Elks Lodge #2111 Ladies Auxiliary, Totowa. Everyone knew her for her food and holiday dinners. She enjoyed sewing and making her own gowns. She cherished her two grandchildren and any time spent with them. Cremation is private at the request of the family.
