Obituary of Norman C. Patten Jr.

Patten, Norman C. Jr., age 77 of Totowa at rest in Paterson on July 21, 2023. Beloved husband of Margaret (nee Markham) Patten and the late Mary T. (nee Jacovelli) Patten (2006). Dear brother-in-law and guardian of Natalie A. Jacovelli. Loving father of Norman J. Patten, Cindy M. Lanham and her husband Bill, Joe M. Patten and his wife Liz, Kimberly Shea and her husband Rich, Mary Beth Mc Millan and her husband Paul, Christina L. Bottiglierie and her husband Henry, Jimmy Patnaude and his wife Lynn, and Danny Patnaude. Loving son of the late Norman C. Sr. and the late Delorus (nee Stein) Patten. Adoring grandfather of 17 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Dennis Patten and his wife Evalene, Alan Patten and his wife Merrilee, and the late Patricia (nee Patten) Brobst and her late husband Richard. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Born and raised Allentown, PA he lived in Totowa for most of his life. He was a manager for Cuny & Guerber Inc., Union City for over 40 years before retiring. Mr. Patten was a Vietnam Veteran having served in the United States Navy from 1963 to 1969. He loved making sugar cookies with his mother's recipe and he also made one heck of a chili. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Wednesday at 10:00 AM. Cremation is private at the request of the family. Friends may visit Tuesday 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 PM. In lieu of flower's, donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital would be appreciated.
