Dowling, Ellen M. (nee Falconieri), age 76 of Clifton at rest in Clifton on June 17, 2023. Beloved spouse of Diana L. Arena. Loving mother of Heather Mullen and her fiancé Rafael Martinez of Wayne. Dear sister of Bruce Van Wyck of North Haledon and Randall Van Wyck of Lake Hopatcong. Step daughter of Vera Falconieri of Lake Hopatcong. Ellen is also leaving behind her two beloved pet dogs, Jeter and Pooch and her two beloved pet cats, Lucy and Edison. Born in Paterson, she lived in Paterson before moving to Clifton twenty five years ago. She was a Homemaker. Ellen was a staunch Democrat. She was an avid N.Y. Yankees fan and an avid reader and animal lover. She enjoyed writing and some of her work has been published. She was a history buff and enjoyed cooking and fishing. Ellen was a huge Beatles fan. She loved her family dearly and she will be greatly missed. Cremation will be private. Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa is in charge of arrangements.
