Pellegrini, Joan (nee Van Der Veen), age 91 of Cedar Grove, at rest in Cedar Grove on June 13, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Louis V. Pellegrini (2003). Loving mother of Robin Pellegrini of Cedar Grove, Renee Daniels and her husband Thomas of Cedar Grove, Roselyn Terlizzi of Wayne and Louis V. Pellegrini Jr. and his wife Amy of Totowa. Dear sister of Donald Van Der Veen of Whiting, William Van Der Veen of Riverdale and the late Gertrude Miller (2023). Grandmother of Kristin Daniels, Taylor Lawler, Carly Rose Daniels, Brianna Terlizzi, Gabriella Terlizzi and Zachary Pellegrini. Great-grandmother of Bryce and Jacob Lawler. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Born in Fair Lawn, she lived in Paterson, then Totowa for fifty years, before moving to Cedar Grove. She was a Hair Dresser for Hair Hub, Hawthorne, for many years, before retiring in 2016. Prior to that, she was a penographer. Joan was a member of the Wayne Elks Lodge #2181 Auxiliary. She was an avid bowler and belonged to several leagues. She loved the Jersey Shore and to shop. She collected sea glass and painted scarves. Joan also enjoyed tending to her house plants and watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday from 4-8 PM at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa. Funeral services will be on Saturday at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow at Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory to Camp Fatima of NJ, would be appreciated.
