Obituary of William Mandara

Mandara, William age 93 of Boynton Beach, Florida at rest in Boynton Beach on May 17, 2023. Dear son of the late Filippo and the late Silvestra (nee Ereddia) Mandara. Devoted brother of the late Frances Raineri, Antonio Mandara and Antoinette Carratello. Beloved uncle of George & Gerry Raineri, Philip Carratello, Philip & Tracy Mandara, Joseph Caratello & his late wife Judy Lea, Silvia & Luis Dias, and Judith Carratello & the late Domenick. Also survived by many grand-nieces and grand-nephews and great grand-nieces and great grand-nephews. Born in Santa Croce Camerina, Sicily, Italy, he came to the United States in 1948 and resided in Paterson before moving to Florida in 1993. Bill was a Designer/Tailor for Barbizon, Paterson for many years before retiring. Bill loved gardening, going to the beach, and most of all cooking. You were lucky if you got to taste his homemade pasta, pizza, eggplant or one of his delicious spinach or meat pies. Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa on Monday at 9:30 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Gerard RC Church, Paterson at 10:00 AM. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may call Sunday from 4-8 PM.
