Rojas, Nuria M. (nee Cabrera), age 71 of Paterson at rest in Cedar Grove on April 9, 2023. Beloved wife of fifty years to Bernardo A. Rojas of Paterson. Loving mother of Cynthia Rojas-Cruz and her husband Mario of Utah, Giselle Rojas and her fiance Brian of Woodland Park, Michael Alexis of Utah and the late Alan Gustavo Sanchez (2013). Dear grandmother of Devonne Egurrola, Gabriella Sanoguel, Christopher Sanchez, Mila Alexis and Wesley Alexis. Sister of Ana Villaplana of Paterson, Virginia Ziegler of Paterson, Yami Umana of Costa Rica and the late Jorge Cabrera (1995). Also surviving are several nieces and nephews and her two beloved pet dogs, Luigi and Rocky. Born in Zapote, San Jose, Costa Rica, she came to the U.S.A. in 1964 settling in Paterson. She was a self employed Massage Therapist for several years before retiring in 2010. Prior to that, she was a self employed Cosmetologist for many years. Mrs. Rojas was a parishioner of St. Mary's R.C. Church, Paterson. She enjoyed tending to her vegetable and floral gardens. She had a green thumb. She was the life of the party and was the last one to leave. She enjoyed trips to Atlantic City and Las Vegas as well as other casinos. She was a great cook known for her arroz con pollo. She followed world soccer and was a fan of Saprissa. She cherished any time spent with her grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 from 4:00-8:00 PM at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa. Funeral services will be private.
