Obituary of Rosa Domicolo

Domicolo, Rosa (nee Blasucci), age 88 of Oakland at rest in Oakland on March 12, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Giuseppe Domicolo (1999). Loving mother of Angela Emmolo and her husband Giuseppe of Manchester Township, Rocco Domicolo and his wife Margaret of Brick and Anthony Domicolo and his wife Gloria of Little Falls. Dear grandmother of Sabrina and Salvatore Emmolo, Gabriella Amato and Joseph M., Bianca Rosa and Anthony Domicolo. Great grandmother of Nicholas, Francesca, Ella and Raymond Joseph Jr. Sister of Anna Monachello of Sicily, Italy and Nicola Blasucci of Totowa. Also surviving are many nieces and nephpews. Born in Ruvo del Mondo, Prov. di Napoli, Italy, she came to the U.S.A. in 1955 settling in Paterson before moving to Pompton Lakes for sixteen years and then to Oakland three years ago. She was a Homemaker. Prior to that, she worked as a Seamstress for various coat factories in the city of Paterson. Mrs. Domicolo was a parishioner of St. James R.C. Church, Totowa. She was a member of the I.L.G.W.U., New York, N.Y. She enjoyed tending to her vegetable and floral gardens and loved all flowers. She also enjoyed to sewing and watching soap operas on television. Rosa traveled to Italy and Switzerland to see family. Cleaning the house was her favorite past time. She cherished any time spent with family, grandchildren and especially her great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at St. James R.C. Church, 400 Totowa Rd., Totowa, on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at 10:00 AM. All are asked to proceed directly to the church. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN. 38105.
