Obituary of Sandra Maselli

Maselli, Sandra "Sandy" (nee Spagnola), age 84 of Haledon at rest in Wayne on February 23, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Thomas A. Maselli (2011). Loving mother of Stacie A. Franco & her husband David of Kinnelon and Amy Bachia & her husband Paul of Sloatsburg, NY. Dear sister of Phyllis Passero of Hawthorne. Devoted grandmother of Christina Franco, Joseph Franco, Angelina Franco, Beau Bachia, & Bryce Bachia. Born in Paterson, she lived in Paterson most of her life before moving to Haledon 53 years ago. Sandy was a Senior Election Clerk for Passaic County Superintendent of Elections, Paterson for many years before retiring in 2009. Prior to that, she was an Executive Secretary for Liberty Machine Co., Paterson for many years. Sandy was a longtime parishioner of St. Gerard RC Church and a member of its Rosary Society and Fundraising Committee. She was also a Eucharistic Minister and taught Pre-Cana there. She was a member of the West Paterson Seniors and loved summers at the Jersey Shore and traveling the world. She very much enjoyed going out to dinner with friends and family and was a great cook, known for her famous meatballs and homemade pies. She was very proud of her grandchildren and was their prayer warrior. Her family was her life, especially her grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Thursday at 9:30 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Gerard RC Church, Paterson at 10:00 AM. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum, Totowa. Friends may visit Wednesday 4-8 PM.
