Obituary of Madeline Antonesco

Antonesco, Madeline (nee Agobjian), age 77 of Wayne at rest in Wayne on December 31, 2022. Beloved wife of the late Flor Antonesco (1990). Loving mother of Michel Antonesco, Anita Antonesco, Robert Antonesco and step-son Constantine Antonesco. Adoring grandmother of Robert, Michael, Christopher, Nicoleta, and Jennifer Antonesco. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Born in Aleppo, Syria, she is the last of 4 other siblings. She lived in Syria until 1974 when she and her family immigrated to the United States. Upon arriving in the US, she lived in Paterson for 12 years before moving to Wayne. She worked as a seamstress in her early life at Brooks Brothers, Paterson and Woodley Furniture Factory, Paterson before retiring and settling in as a Homemaker. Mrs. Antonesco enjoyed cooking, scratching Scratch-Offs and gambling in Atlantic City. She loved life, traveling, and spending time at the beach. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Thursday at 11:00 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church, Little Falls at 12:00 PM. Interment at Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may visit Wednesday 6-9 PM.
