Varano, Joseph Anthony age 72 of Totowa at rest in Totowa on December 28, 2022. Beloved husband of Dolores (nee Porter) Varano. Loving father of Anthony Varano and his wife Megan and Christina Varano-Sanabria and her husband Roberto. Doting grandfather of Ava and Elena Varano and one on the way. Dear brother of Bruno Varano and his wife Donna. He is also survived by 3 nephews and 2 nieces. Born in Calabria, Prov di Sant' Andrea, Italy he lived in Italy for 5 years before immigrating to the United States. Upon arriving in the US, he resided in West Paterson before moving to Totowa in 1978. He was the Owner of AC Coffee & Paper Products, Totowa, for 10 years before retiring in 2010. Mr. Varano loved baseball and basketball. He loved being a grandfather and taking care of the dogs. He also enjoyed hanging out at the Italian coffee shop in Totowa. Joseph was also a US Navy Veteran having served in Vietnam. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral at St. James RC Church, Totowa on Tuesday at 10:00 AM. Cremation is private at the request of the family. Friends may visit Monday 2:00 - 6:00 PM at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home 111 Union Blvd., Totowa. In lieu of flowers, donations to the ASPCA would be appreciated.
