Dragone, Carmelina (nee Vernacchio), age 88 of Wyckoff at rest in Ridgewood on December 28, 2022. Beloved wife of the late Vincenzo Dragone (2002). Loving mother of Giuseppe Dragone and his wife Mary Ellen of Pitman and Mario Dragone and his wife Lynnann of Totowa. Adoring grandmother of Vincenzo, Gabriella, and Angelina Dragone. Dear sister of Geraldine Fierro of Maryland. Born in Montella, Prov. di Avellino, Campania Region, Italy, she lived in Italy until 1948 before immigrating to the United States. Upon her arrival in the US she resided in Washington DC, then Paterson and Hawthorne, before moving to Totowa in 2001. She was a bookkeeper for Wonder Bread, Paterson, for 20 years then an accountant for PNC Bank, West Paterson before retiring. Mrs. Dragone was a parishioner of St. James R.C. Church, Totowa, and it's Seniors. She was also a member of the Totowa Boro Seniors. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral at St. James RC Church, Totowa Rd., Totowa, on Saturday at 10:00 AM. Entombment to follow at Laurel Grove Mausoleum, Totowa. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 1132, Fairfax,Virginia, 22038-1132, would be appreciated. Festa Memorial Funeral Home 111 Union Blvd., Totowa is in charge of the arrangements.
