Obituary of Antonino Ruggiero

Ruggiero, Antonino "Nino", age 93 of Wayne at rest in Wayne on December 14, 2022. Beloved husband of the late Concetta "Connie" (nee Ferrante) Ruggiero (2021). Loving father of Jo Ann Risi and her husband Daniel of Wayne, and Antonio "Anthony" Ruggiero and his wife Julianne of Groton, MA. Adoring grandfather of Mark Risi and Danielle Risi. Brother of Carmela Giardina, Lucia Mannisi, and Cris Ruggiero. Antonino is also survived by 5 nieces and 4 nephews. Born in Scoglitti, Sicily, Italy he lived there before immigrating to the United States in 1948. Upon arriving in the United States, he resided in Paterson, then Totowa before moving to Wayne. He was a Coat Presser for I.L.G.W.U., Paterson, for many years before retiring. Mr. Ruggiero was a parishioner of St. James R.C. Church, Totowa. He was a member of the Totowa Seniors, the I.L.G.W.U., NY, NY, and a member of the Elks Lodge, Wayne. He enjoyed the Jersey Shore and loved yard work and maintaining his grass and garden. He loved spending time with his family and playing board games with his grandchildren. He also loved listening and singing to Frank Sinatra, Perry Como, Dean Martin, and the "Rat Pack". Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Tuesday at 9:15 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. James RC Church, Totowa at 10:00 AM. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Mausoleum, Totowa. Friends may visit Monday 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, would be appreciated.
