Obituary of Rosemarie Carmela Amendola

Amendola, Rosemarie Carmela (neé Nicoline) age 85 of Totowa at rest at home. Born in Paterson to the late Frank and Loretta (neé DeStefano) Nicoline, Mrs. Amendola lived there before relocating to Haledon and finally settling in Totowa. Rosemarie also spent many years wintering at her home in Highland Beach, Florida. Rosemarie was known to all for her energetic personality, her delicious Italian cooking and her ability to make an ordinary home, extraordinary using her expertise as an interior designer, a career that she was passionate about until her final days. Rosemarie enjoyed playing cards, trips to the casino, her daily lottery scratch offs, traveling, a nice round of golf and entertaining friends & family, especially hosting holiday dinners. She was a former member of the North Jersey Country Club of Wayne and the Atlantis Country Club of Florida. Devoted wife of the late Louis Joseph Amendola. Loving mother of the late Louis James Amendola and his surviving wife, Valerie (neé Roth). Beloved Grandmother of Louis Joseph Amendola II and Lindsay Marie Amendola. Loving Mother of Gina Stanziale and her husband, David. Caring Grandmother of Christopher, Michael and Nicholas Stanziale. Dear cousin of the late Joseph Alvino, who always held a special place in her heart and she cared for as a brother. Also survived by many dear friends and cousins. The family would also like to thank Rosemarie's private RN, Christina Semeraro, for her years of dedication and care that she provided to both Rosemarie and Lou, Sr. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home 111 Union Blvd., Totowa on Tuesday at 9:15 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. James RC Church, Totowa at 10:00 AM. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may visit Monday from 4-8 PM.
