Obituary of Joan S. Kirwan

Kirwan, Joan S. (nee Giglio), age 85 of Paterson at rest in Pequannock on September 6, 2022. Beloved wife of the late John D. Kirwan (2000). Loving mother of John Kirwan and his wife Irene and Lu Ann Sensale and her husband George. Dear sister of Rosemarie Trizzulla. Grandmother of Jackie, Jo Anna, George, Samantha, Michael, Lu Ann, Gina, Sophia and the late Jonathan (2022). Great-grandmother of Michael Jr., Julianna, George III, Fiorella, Dante, Lennox, Bryce and Chase. Born in Paterson, she was a lifelong city resident. She was the Supervisor of Secretaries for the Paterson Board of Education, Paterson, for thirty-six years before retiring. She was an active parishioner of St. Gerard R.C. Church, as well as a member of its Rosary Society, Seniors Club and a Lector there. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Saturday at 9:00 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Gerard R.C. Church, Paterson at 9:30 AM. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may visit Friday 4:00-8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Gerard R.C.
