Obituary of Jonathan M. Kirwan

Kirwan, Jonathan M. age 34 of Haledon at rest in Paterson on August 14, 2022. Beloved son of John Kirwan and his wife Irene and Christine (nee Olsen) LaMaine and her husband Lawrence. Dear brother of Samantha Henderson and her husband Bryan, Danielle LaMaine and her husband Bill Runyon and Sophia Kirwan. Loving grandson of Edward and Joan Olsen and Joan Kirwan and the late John D. Kirwan, Sr. Godson of Cindy Sahns. Also survived by nephews, cousins, and all that loved him. Born in Edison, he lived most of his life in Columbus and Haledon. He was the owner of Kirwan Construction, Haledon for the past four years. Jonathan was the life of the party and would always make everyone laugh. He had a sparkle in his bright blue eyes and a contagious smile that lit up the room wherever he went. Jonathan had a profound love for his family and friends, especially his little nephews. You could always find him playing with children or doting on animals. His family and friends are heartbroken by his unexpected and sudden passing and he will be deeply missed. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa on Tuesday at 10:30 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Gerard R.C. Church, Paterson at 11:00 AM. Cremation is private at the request of the family. Friends may visit Monday from 4-8 PM.
