Obituary of Joseph Latona

Latona, Joseph "Joe" age 69 of Lincoln Park at rest in Paterson on July 1, 2022. Beloved husband of forty four years to the former Soraya Paz of Lincoln Park. Loving father of Joey Latona and his wife Emma of Lincoln Park, Christopher Latona and his wife Danielle of Lake Hiawatha and Jonathan Latona of Lincoln Park. Dear grandfather of Jesus, Emilie, Luca and Christiano. Brother of Vincent Latona of Lincoln Park, Gino Latona of PA., Eugene Latona of Wanaque, Rosina Granada of Brick and the late Lisa Crossen and the late Antonio Latona. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews and his beloved pet dog, Dino. Born in Cefalu, Sicily, Italy, he came to the U.S.A. in 1963 settling in Passaic before moving to Garfield and then to Lincoln Park twenty two years ago. He was a Journeyman for the Sheet Metal Worker's Union #28, New York, NY. for many years before retiring in 2014. Mr. Latona was a parishioner of St. Joseph R.C. Church, Lincoln Park. He was a hunter and a fisherman. He was an all around outdoorsman. He enjoyed tending to his vegetable garden. He was very out going and he was loved by everyone. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at 9:15 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Joseph R.C. Church, Lincoln Park at 10:00 AM. Committal prayers to follow at Cedar Lawn Crematory, Paterson. Friends may visit Tuesday, July 5, 2022 from 4:00-8:00 PM.
