Abate, Biagia (nee Di Gangi), age 94 of Paterson at rest in Wayne on June 1, 2022. Beloved wife of the late Antonio Abate (2005). Loving mother of Salvatore "Tito" Abate and his wife Silvana of Wayne, Gandolfo "Randy" Abate of Totowa and his late wife Susan (nee Samgour) Abate and Maria Antonina Quarato of Paterson. Dear sister of Mimma DiGangi and her husband Serafino of Paterson. Also survived by eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Born in Castellana Sicula, Prov. di Palermo, Italy, she came to the United States in 1968 and resided in Paterson. She was a Seamstress in Paterson before retiring. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa on Monday at 11:00 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Mary's R.C. Church, Paterson at 11:30 AM. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Mausoleum, Totowa. Friends may visit Monday 9-11 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital would be appreciated.
