Obituary of Michael T Joyce

Joyce, Michael T. age 81 of Totowa at rest on May 16, 2022. Beloved husband of Julianna (nee Cantalupo) Joyce of Totowa. Loving step father of Gerard Treacy of Mamaroneck, NY, Gregory Treacy & his wife Jennifer Moore-Treacy of South Orange, and Karen Buniewski & her late husband, Brian of Totowa. Son of Margaret (nee Mortimer) Joyce and Michael J. Joyce. Dear brother of Abby Pascucci of San Marcos, CA and James Joyce of Barnegat. Mike is preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters. Loyal grandfather of Kyle, Aidan, Adrian, Alexandra, Jacquelyn, and Brian.

Born in the Bronx, NY, Mike joined the US marines before becoming a Police Officer at Precinct 42, Bronx, NY. He then began as a truck driver for Schaefer Beer, and as a Bus Driver for New Jersey Transit in Wayne before retiring. Mike lived in Totowa for over 40 years. He was an active volunteer with the Totowa Boro Fire Department, Volunteer Company #1, Mitchell Avenue. Mike was an avid softball pitcher and golf player, he also loved his NY Mets. He was the resident "Santa Clause" for the Vol Fire company for 15 years and could be seen riding the fire truck around town at Christmas time

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home 111 Union Blvd., Totowa on Saturday at 8:45 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. James RC Church, Totowa at 9:30 AM. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may visit on Friday from 4:00-8:00 PM.
