Obituary of John Sheptock Jr

Sheptock, John Jr. age 92 of Totowa at rest in Cedar Grove on May 3, 2022. Beloved husband of Dolores Joan (nee Mendello) Sheptock. Loving father of John Sheptock and his wife Patricia of Huntington Beach, CA, Mark Sheptock and his wife Maria of Huntington Beach, CA, and Diane Bennett and her husband Peter of Wayne. Dear grandfather of John, Mark and Michael Sheptock, Peter Bennett, Suzanne Gregory and Caroline Bandelli. Born in Clifton, he moved to Totowa 66 years ago. He was an employee for Erie Railroad and for Con Rail in Newark and Philadelphia for 40 years before retiring. John was a parishioner, usher, and eucharistic minister at St. James R.C. Church, Totowa. He also taught CCD. He was a member and District Deputy of St. James Knights of Columbus Council #6574 and a recipient of many of their awards. John was also involved in St. James Boy Scouts program for many years. He was a member of the Happy Seniors of Totowa and an avid Yankee Fan. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Tuesday at 9:30 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. James R.C. Church, Totowa at 10:00 AM. Interment at Calvary Cemetery, Paterson. Friends may visit Monday 4:00-8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. James R.C.
