Obituary of Pasquale D'Amelio

D'Amelio, Pasquale age 92 of Paterson at rest in Paterson on April 30, 2022. Beloved husband of the late, Teresa Cestaro D'Amelio (2016). Loving father of Agnes Mariella-Zimmer and her husband Greg, Domenica Cosentino and her husband Mario, Maria Ciaramella, Michele Sherman and her husband Mark and Patricia Stackhouse and her husband Jonathan. Brother of Biagio D'Amelio, Josephine Gibilisco, Virginia Ingenito, Cathy Villopoto, and the late Michele, Antonio, Angelo, Luigi, Vincenzo, Nunzio, Vito and Catherina D'Amelio. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his two sons-in-law, the late Jack Ciaramella and Domenico Mariella. Born in Sala Consilina, Provincia di Salerno, Italy, he came to the United States in 1966 and resided in Paterson. He was a Mason for Carmen Ottilio, Paterson, then for Allied Textile, Paterson. Mr. D'Amelio was a parishioner of St. Mary's R.C. Church, Paterson and a former usher there. He was a former parishioner of St. Michael's R.C. Church, and a member of the San Michele the Archangel Society. He was also an Italian Army Veteran. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Friday at 9:15 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Mary's R.C. Church, Paterson at 10:00 AM. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may visit Thursday 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Red Cross Blood would be appreciated.
