Obituary of Matthew T Dox

Dox, Matthew "Matt" T. age 94 of Wayne at rest in Wayne on March 16, 2022. Beloved husband of Margaret E. "Marge" (nee Joyce) Dox of Wayne. Loving father of Michael Dox and his wife Linda of Bloomfield and the late Matthew J. Dox and his wife Patricia of Wayne. Adoring grandfather of Matthew Jr. and his wife Jenn, Meghan Sims and her husband Ryan, Katie, and Michael Jr. Adoring great-grandfather of Addie and Blakely Sims. Dear Brother of the late Marie Owens. Dear son of the late Matthew and the late Marie (nee Brennan) Dox. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was a Service Technician for PSE&G, Clifton, for many years before retiring in 1988. Mr. Dox was a parishioner of Holy Cross R.C. Church, Wayne, and a member of the Service Technicians & Pipefitters Union Local #855, Jersey City. He is also a WWII veteran having served in the United States Coast Guard. Cremation is private at the request of the family. A Memorial Mass in Matthew's memory will take place on Saturday April 9th, at 11:00 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle R.C. Church, Bloomfield. Donations in his memory may be made to Holy Cross R.C. Church, Wayne. Festa Memorial Funeral Home 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, is in charge of the arrangements.
