Obituary of Joyce Romary

Romary, Joyce (nee Freestone), age 85 of Barnegat at rest in Manahawkin on March 12, 2022. Beloved wife of the late Kenneth W. Romary Jr. (2009). Loving mother of Robyn J. Gray and her husband Glenn of Manahawkin, Douglas E. Romary and his wife Eileen of Totowa, William A. Romary and his wife Susan of Totowa, George F. Romary and his partner Debra German of Roanoke, VA. and the late John R. Romary (1958). Dear grandmother of Glenn Jr., Kenneth, Samantha, Patricia, Tracy, Heather, and Kaitlyn. Great grandmother of nine. Also surviving are one niece and two nephews. Born in Paterson, she lived in Totowa for most of her life before moving to Barnegat in 2011. She was Owner/proprietor of Bows Bits & Stitches, Totowa for many years before retiring in 2010. Mrs. Romary was a former member of the Totowa United Methodist Church. She was a past member of the Totowa First Aid Squad. She loved to knit, crochet, sew, cross stitch and do crafts. She also loved to bake. She was a fan of Nascar and used to race powder puff cars. She also enjoyed traveling with her late husband. She enjoyed tending to her flower garden and she cherished any time spent with family and her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Wednesday, 3/16/22 at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may visit Tuesday, 3/15/22 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated.
