Obituary of Michael Szczomak

Szczomak, Michael age 91 of Totowa at rest in Totowa on February 21, 2022. Beloved husband of the late Josephine M. (nee Gallo) Szczomak (2000). Loving father of John Szczomak and his wife Jody of Totowa. Mike is survived by his Lady Friend, Theresa Mauriello of Bloomfield. Dear son of the late John and the late Stella (nee Gemma) Szczomak. Devoted brother of John Szczomak of Fairfield, and the late Stephen Szczomak. Dear brother-in-law of James & Nancy Gallo of Fredon. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Born in Paterson, he lived in Paterson almost his entire life before moving to Bloomfield 8 years ago, then recently to Totowa. He was an Electronics Technician for Singer Kearfott, Fairfield for many years before retiring. Mike was a member of the Passaic Valley Elks Lodge #2111, Totowa. He was an Air Force veteran serving in the Korean Conflict and was a member of the American Legion Post #227, Totowa. He was a parishioner of St. Bonaventure R.C. Church, Paterson. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Friday at 9:45 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at OUR LADY OF POMPEII CHURCH, Paterson at 10:15 AM. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may visit Thursday 4-8 PM.
