Obituary of Louis Meisch

Meisch, Louis R. (Jim) age 87 of Totowa, NJ at rest in Wayne on February 17, 2022. Beloved husband of sixty years to the late Virginia M. Meisch (2021). Loving father of Melissa Meisch-Reardon and her husband Thomas and Jeanne Marshall and her husband Jim. Dear brother of Linda Perrine and the late Mabel Frossard and the late William Meisch. Dear grandfather of Alyssa, Thomas, Christopher and Brittany; Great Grandfather of Cameron, Kinsley, Kaylee and Aiden. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Born in West Paterson, NJ to Louis and Mabel Meisch (Grunwald), he served in the United States Navy during the Korean War from 1952-1956, where he received his training in welding, which became his career. He spent the majority of his working career at International Nickel Company (INCO) and was fortunate and proud to retire at the age of 56. He was a parishioner of St. James R.C. Church, Totowa. Lou enjoyed travelling with his wife and children over the years throughout the continental United States. He adored his beautiful grandchildren and taking them on many vacations. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Wednesday at 10:30 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. James RC Church, Totowa at 11:00 AM. Interment at Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa. Friends may visit Wednesday 9:30-10:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society would be appreciated.
