Almonte, Iris S. (nee Bayon), age 69 of Paterson at rest in Paterson on February 9, 2022. Beloved wife of Jose Almonte. Loving mother of Carmen Almonte and Wendy Castro and her husband Elieser. Dear daughter of the late Carlos and the late Josefa (nee Birriel) Bayon. Grandmother of Jayda Castro, Kaylin Castro and Robinson Cuevas. Sister of Miriam Almonte, Teresa Gil, Gladys Bayon, Wilma Colon, Juan Bayon, Dora Ramirez, Expert Bayon and the late Edwin Bayon. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Born in Lares, Puerto Rico, she came to the mainland and resided in Paterson. She was a Homemaker. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Monday at 10:00 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. John's Cathedral, Paterson at 10:30 AM. Interment at Fair Lawn Cemetery, Fair Lawn. Friends may visit Sunday 2:00 - 6:00 PM.
