Tanis, Theresa (nee Gwozdecke), age 89 of Totowa at rest in Totowa on January 26, 2022. Beloved wife of John Tanis of Totowa. Loving mother of Barbara Wells and her husband, Jeff of Wayne, Carol Lynn Monzo and her husband, Angelo of Oak Ridge and Lori Pirolo of Manasquan. Dear sister of Michael Gwozdecke of Las Vegas, NV. Devoted grandmother of Jeffry Wells and his wife, Danielle, Jessica Tanis and her husband, Michael, Megan Nimmo and her husband, Michael, and Paige Pirolo. Dear great-grandmother of Luke, Paul, Matthew, Mason, Adalynn, Jameson, Jack and Scarlett. Born in Paterson, she lived in Totowa the past 64 years. Theresa was a homemaker. She loved her family more than anything in the world and was loved by everyone who knew her.  She loved to knit and crochet, and she bowled in a league with her friends years ago. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Tuesday at 9:30 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. James R.C. Church, Totowa at 10:00 AM. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum, Totowa. Friends may visit Monday 3:00 - 7:00 PM.
