Obituary of Henry J Gallo

Gallo, Henry J. "Hank" age 94 of Woodland Park at rest in Woodland Park on January 7, 2022. Beloved husband of seventy years to the former Virginia J. Santini of Woodland Park. Loving father of Frank H. Gallo and his wife Tina of Holmdel and Michael J. Gallo of Little Falls. Dear grandfather of Carine and Rina Gallo. Father in Law of the late Vikki (nee Bricca) Gallo (2020). Brother of Fred Gallo of Pompton Plains, Pequannock Twp. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Born in Paterson, he lived in Paterson before moving to West Paterson in 1955. He was a Senior Mechanical Engineer for Foster-Wheeler, Inc., Clinton, for fifty years before retiring in 2012. Hank was a Permanent Deacon, former Lector and longtime parishioner of Our Lady of Pompeii R.C. Church, Paterson where he was also a Trustee and a member of the Parish Council. He was a lifelong and avid fan of the NY Yankees and the NY Giants. He was a WWII Navy Veteran. Hank enjoyed tending to his vegetable garden and taking his family to Wildwood for summer vacation. Henry was a gentle, kind, considerate, generous, patient, compassionate, humble and loving man. He was devoted to his family, especially his two granddaughters. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Pompeii R.C. Church, 70 Murray Avenue, Paterson, on Monday, Jan. 10 at 11:30 AM. Interment to follow at Cedar Lawn Cemetery, Paterson. Friends may visit on Monday from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Our Lady of Pompeii R.C. Church. Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa is in charge of arrangements.
