Obituary of Mary Portelli

Portelli, Mary (nee De Franco), age 93 of Paterson on September 6, 2021. Beloved wife of the late Anthony L. Portelli. Loving mother of Lorraine M. DeLade & her husband John of North Haledon and Mariann Giannella of Hawthorne. Also survived by 8 grandchilden and 10 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Genevieve Cirasa of Wayne, Mario De Franco of North Haledon, Joseph De Franco of Paterson, Lucille Hogan of Wayne, Francis Freund of Dunmore, Pa., and the late Anthony De Franco. Born in Brockway, Pa, she lived in Paterson for most of her life. She was a Bookkeeper for J & K Ingredients, Paterson for over 50 years before retiring. Mary was a parishioner of St. Gerard R.C. Church, Paterson and a member of its Senior Citizens Club. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Thursday at 9:30 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Gerard RC Church, Paterson at 10:00 AM. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may visit Wednesday 4:00 - 8:00 PM.
