Obituary of Marc Baskinger

Marc, Joseph ("Mookie") Baskinger, 56, passed away on May 28th, 2021, at his residence in Alpharetta, GA.  Marc was born on July 16th, 1964, in Paterson, NJ and was raised in Fairfield, NJ.  Marc graduated high school in 1983 from West Essex High School, attended Brick Layers school and worked multiple jobs in landscaping.  He married his high school sweetheart, Janet Marie Haar, also from Fairfield, in 1989 and was blessed with 2 beautiful chidren.  The family lived in Lake Hiawatha, Succasunna and Ledgewood, NJ before moving to GA in 2008. Marc was an avid New York Sports fan supporting his beloved New York Giants and New York Yankees.  For a large portion of his family life, he would be a stay-at-home parent being a father figure for his incredible children.

Marc is survived by his former wife, Janet, their chidren Paige Marie Baskinger and Jake Baskinger, his mother Marie Baskinger, his father Joseph A. Baskinger and his extended family.

Family and Friends are invited to his service on Monday, June 21st from 4-7 PM at Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, NJ 07512.  The inurnment will be held at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 52 Totowa Rd., Totowa, NJ 07512 on Tuesday, June 22nd at 11 AM.
