Obituary of Robert Poloniak

Poloniak, Robert age 62 of Wayne at rest in Wayne on May 27, 2021.  Beloved husband of Sandi (nee Scalzitti) Poloniak of Wayne.  Loving father of Robert Poloniak of Wayne.  Dear son of the late Frank and the late Gizela (nee Kocsis) Poloniak.  Caring brother of Christine Reder and her husband Edwin of Riverdale and Frank Poloniak of N.Y.C.  Born in Passaic, he lived in Paterson and Woodland Park before moving to Wayne 23 years ago. Robert was a firefighter with the Clifton Fire Department for 5 years before transferring to the Paterson Fire Department, working there for 25 years, before retiring as Battalion Chief 4 ½ years ago.  He was a member of the Retired Firefighters Association, a member of the FMBA, and an exempt member of the West Paterson Fire Department. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home 111 Union Blvd. Totowa on Thursday at 9:00 AM.   Funeral mass to follow at St. Gerard RC Church, Paterson at 10:00 AM.  Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum, Totowa.
