Obituary of Virginia M. Meisch

Meisch, Virginia M. "Jean" (nee Silvestri), age 94 of Totowa at rest in Paterson on May 21, 2021. Beloved wife of sixty years to Louis R. Meisch. Loving mother of Melissa Meisch-Reardon and her husband Thomas and Jeanne Marshall and her husband Jim.  Dear grandmother of Alyssa, Thomas, Christopher and Brittany. Great grandmother of Cameron and Kinsley. Sister of Elizabeth Macolino and the late Freida Parisi and the late Sam Silvestri. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Born in Paterson to Carmine and Christina (nee Iandoli), she lived in Totowa for most of her life. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse for St Joseph's Hospital, Paterson for over twenty years before retiring in 1989. Jean's entire career was dedicated to nursing. She graduated from St. Joseph's School of Nursing in Yonkers, NY. Mrs. Meisch was a parishioner of St. James R.C. Church, Totowa. Jean enjoyed gardening, especially her flowers. She enjoyed travelling with her husband and children over the years around the continental United States. She adored her beautiful grandchildren and taking them on many vacations. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa on Thursday at 10:30 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. James R.C. Church, Totowa at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow at Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa. Friends may visit on Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM.
