Obituary of Marion Marino

Please share a memory of Marion to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Marino, Marion C. (nee Manno), age 88, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Easter Sunday April 4th, 2021 at her home. Marion was the loving wife of the late Thomas J. Marino, Sr. They celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary in September 2020 before Thomas passed away in October 2020. Marion was born in Paterson NJ on May 15, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Estelle (Nicoletti) Manno. She lived with Tom and her children in Totowa NJ for most of her life. Marion worked as a Vice President at Broadway Bank in Paterson NJ for many years. She was beloved by all of those that she worked with over her many years with the bank. While living in Totowa she was always involved with her children and their activities, she loved helping to coach and attend their athletic and other competitive events and was always their biggest cheerleader. Marion and Tom retired to Toms River in 1996 where she enjoyed volunteering, trips to Atlantic City winning several jackpots, golf, Mahjong and Bunco with her many friends and travel to her favorite place Aruba. Marion was passionate about her volunteer work as she served on the board at Deborah Children's Hospital and also volunteered annually at the LPGA event held in Toms River. Regardless of what Marion was involved with she always made new friends because of her love and compassion for everyone. We have been blessed with the presence of Marion in our lives. She will be deeply missed by her children: Susan (Marino) Roman and her husband Robert of Fair Lawn NJ, Donna (Marino) Horn and her husband Jim of Charlottesville VA, Cindy (Marino) Chierici and her husband Joe of Denville NJ. Her grandchildren meant the world to her and she was always so proud of them, Anthony and his wife Jennie, Matthew and his wife Kyleigh, Thomas, Megan and Michael. We are truly grateful for the love of her devoted caregiver Rosemarie Bosempem. Marion is also survived by her loving sister Barbara (Manno) DelVecchio of New Milford, NJ. Family and friends are welcome to offer condolences on Sunday April 11th at Festa Memorial Funeral Home in Totowa NJ from 5 PM - 8 PM. All are invited to attend a funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home on Monday April 12th, at 9:15 AM. A mass to celebrate her life will follow at St. James Church, Totowa at 10 AM.
