McCreath, Theresa C. "Tess" (nee LaMarta), age 96 of Paterson at rest in Elizabeth on March 25, 2021. Beloved wife of the late James McCreath (1977). Loving mother of Kathryn Carter and her husband Jerry of Sapphire, NC and Dr. James J. McCreath and his wife Patricia of Hawthorne. Dear grandmother of Paul Passaro and his wife Jennifer of Rockland, CA, Dr. Brendan McCreath of Philadelphia, PA and Raena Nalducci and her husband Matt of Washington. Great grandmother of Emmalyn, Alayna and Hudson Passaro and Sebastian and Xavier Nalducci. Sister of the late Michael, James, Frank, Joseph and Benjamin LaMarta and the late Lena Paradiso, the late Carmella Salerno and the late Ann LaMarta. Also surviving are many loving nieces and nephews. Born in Paterson, she lived in Paterson her entire life. She was an Administrative Clerk for Meyer Brothers Department Store, Paterson for eighteen years. Then, she was an Administrative Clerk for Clarkwood Industries, Totowa before retiring in 1992. Mrs. McCreath was a parishioner of St. Gerard R.C. Church, Paterson and a member of the St. Gerard Senior Club. She was a member of the Deborah Heart and Lung Association, Totowa Chapter. She was a member of the Passaic Valley Elks Lodge #2111, Ladies Auxiliary, Totowa. She was an excellent baker, especially cookies at Christmas time. She also enjoyed sewing and was an avid reader. She loved her family and cherished any time spent with her grandchildren. Funeral services are private.
