Obituary of Bernard A Chiommino

Chiommino, Bernard A. "Dino" age 85 of Paterson at rest in Wayne on January 30, 2021. Beloved husband of the former Anna Mariella of Paterson. Loving father of Rosemarie Hodges and her husband Peter of Waxhaw, NC., Salvatore Dino Chiommino and his wife Emily of Little Falls and Sabino Perillo and his wife Daniella of Woodland Park. Brother of Nina Chiommino of Palermo, Sicily, Italy. Dear grandfather of Stephanie Chiommino, Anthony Chiommino, Michael Hodges and Sofia Perillo. Uncle of Danny Chiommino of Clark. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Born in Palermo, Sicily, Italy, he came to the U.S.A. in 1960 settling in Paterson before moving to Toms River two years ago. He was the Owner/Proprietor of Dino & Anna Tailors, Upper Montclair, for thirty eight years before retiring in 1997. Mr. Chiommino was a parishioner of St. James R.C. Church, Totowa. He was a member of the Roma Club, Paterson and a patron of Sanremo Italian Import Company, Totowa. He was a world soccer fan and cheered for the Italian National Team. He enjoyed tending to his vegetable garden. He traveled to Italy many times. He was an all around handyman and painter, and he enjoyed photography especially taking portraits. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Tuesday at 9:15 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. James R.C. Church, Totowa at 10:00 AM. Cremation will be private. Friends may visit Monday from 4:00 - 8:00 PM.
