Obituary of Natalie Kalfe

Natalie Kalfe, Lynd (nee DeSopo) passed away on January 29th. 2021. She was born on Christmas Day 1937 in Tricarico, Prov. di Matera, Italy. In 1954 at the age of 16, Natalie voyaged to America on the USS Andrea Doria and became a US resident residing in Paterson, before settling down in West Paterson in 1964. Natalie was a loving and devoted wife to the late Peter Kalfe (Passaic, NJ Detective). Beloved mother of Mary Ann Coral, John Lynd and his fiance Jean Senecal, Carol Potoczak and her husband Paul and Mark Lynd and his wife Lora. Loving grandmother of Michele and her husband Casey, Matthew and his wife Darah, Jonathan and his wife Jessica, Michael, Brian, Alexandra, Dominique and Raymond and blessed Great Grandmother of Lucille Natalie. Also surviving are so many wonderful nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly. Loving siblings included; Philomena DeSopo, Dr. Carmine DeSopo and his wife Loretta and the late Elena Coscia, Benjamin DeSopo and his late wife Martha, the late Anthony DeSopo and the late Giuseppe DeSopo. Sister in law of Frank Coscia and Maryrose DeSopo. Known by all for her beautiful smile, Italian heritage and sharing her humor and love for life. She took great joy in cooking, cheering on her NY Yankees and Gardening. Natalie had worked for NJ Bank, Shop Rite & was a NJ State Cosmetologist. She will be missed by all! Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa on Saturday, February 6 at 9:30 AM. Funeral mass to follow at St. Bonaventure R.C. Church, Paterson at 10:15 AM. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum, Totowa. Relatives and friends may visit on Friday from 4:00-8:00 PM.
