Obituary of Charles Bruno

OBITUARY TO APPEAR 1X TUESDAY Charles (Chuck) P. Bruno, age 70, of Totowa, passed away in Saint Mary's Hospital Saturday, January 2, 2021 from complications of Covid. Chuck was the only child of the late Lucille (Coronati) and the late Charles G Bruno. He lived most of his life in Totowa in the house that his Dad built that he was very proud of. Chuck attended William Paterson University, the University of Oklahoma, National Commercial Lending School and the American Institute of Banking. His career began in banking at First Fidelity Bank as a Commercial Loan Officer. He then continued his banking career at Pilgrim Bank as Vice President in the Commercial Mortgage Department. His next banking opportunity was at NatWest Bank as Assistant VP in the Business Development area. He also was a Loan Officer at Absolute Home Mortgage. After leaving banking he took a job as a security guard at SSC Security. Chuck through the years had many hobbies, the one he enjoyed the most he made into a small business - his sports and celebrity autographed memorabilia collection. He enjoyed going to shows and autograph signings. He also loved music and in his younger years, was quite a dancer. Chuck enjoyed most of all his quiet time with girlfriend of 26 years, Joanne Caggiano and her family. They were amongst the happiest 26 years of both of their lives. It was a match made in heaven. Family life meant the world to him. He was adored by Allyson and Alec Chalet; Rene'e Caggiano and his grandchildren Chloe, Austin, Kylie, Addison, Mason & Chase. He was at his best when talking with his cousins Sal & Laura and his many friends, neighbors, and the Borough Boys. Chuck will be remembered for his happy outgoing nature. The world has lost a kind, considerate, unselfish, caring, good natured, thoughtful, and understanding man. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. James R.C. Church, 410 Totowa Rd., Totowa on Thursday at 11:30 AM. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Visitation hours are private at the request of the family. Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa is in charge of arrangements.
