Obituary of Philip T Maddamma

Maddamma, Philip T. age 91 of Toms River at rest in North Haledon on December 21, 2020. Beloved husband of the former Emidia Campana of Toms River. Loving father of Louisa Maddamma of North Haledon and Johnny Maddamma and his wife Kim of Texas. Dear grandfather of Anthony Clark and Nicole Clark. Brother of Roberto Maddamma of Italy, Edmund Maddamma of New City, NY, Mario Maddamma of Wayne, Silvio Maddamma of Totowa and the late Enzo Maddamma and the late Enrica Maddamma. Brother in Law of Domenico Campana of Butler. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Born in Youngstown, Ohio, he lived in Italy for eighteen years, came back to the U.S.A. and lived in Totowa for thirty five years before moving to Toms river in 1989. He was a Semi Truck Driver for Pepsi Cola, Teterboro for forty years before retiring in 1991. He was also the owner of Maddamma's Market, Paterson for eleven years. Mr. Maddamma was a marathon runner and a member of the N.Y. Road Runner's Club. He was a third degree member of St. James Knights of Columbus, Totowa. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Disabled American Veterans. He was also an avid tennis player. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa on Friday, January 15 at 10:15 AM. Funeral mass to follow at St. Anthony R.C. Church, Hawthorne at 11:00 AM. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum, Totowa. Friends may visit on Friday from 8:00-10:15 AM. Donations in his memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis., TN 38105 and/or Valley Hospice, Ridgewood, New Jersey.
