Obituary of John Joseph Piparo

Piparo, John Joseph age 96 of Totowa at rest in Wayne on September 10, 2020. Beloved husband of the late Mercedes (nee Grossi) (2014). Loving father of Daniel Piparo and his wife Bonnie of Cranford, Kitty Piparo of Totowa, Janey Moreno of CT, and Madelyn Frank and her husband Cliff of FL. Adoring grandfather of 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by nieces and nephews. Born in Paterson, he lived in Clifton, before moving to Totowa for most of his life. He was a Carpenter for Acoustic's Inc., Clark, for 45 years before retiring in 1988. Mr. Piparo was a member of the Carpenter's Union, Local #124, Edison. He was also a Navy veteran having served during WWII. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at St. James R.C. Church, Totowa on Monday at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow at Northern New Jersey Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Sparta. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105, would be appreciated.
