Woodland Park Salvatore “Salvuccio” Nolfo May 22, 1940 - July 30, 2020 Salvatore “Salvuccio” Nolfo was born on May 22, 1940 in Santa Croce Camerina, Sicily, Italy and passed away on July 30, 2020 in Woodland Park, New Jersey. As a young man on the island of Sicily, Salvuccio trained and worked as a tailor under the expertise of his beloved Uncle Nunzio. In 1960, Salvuccio immigrated to the United States, settling in Paterson, then West Paterson, Franklin Lakes, and ultimately, Woodland Park. In 1968, after working tirelessly in various boutiques and clothing shops, Salvuccio became owner of Conca D'Oro Coat Factory in Paterson and also subsequently acquired NVN Coat Factory in Clifton. As a proud immigrant with a strong work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit, he ran both businesses successfully for many years prior to retiring in 2002. He was a member of the Santa Croce Camerina Club in Hawthorne and the Scoglitti Society in Elmwood Park. He was an avid hunter as well as a devoted Ferrari, Formula 1 and Juventus Soccer fan. Salvuccio had a passion for good times, good food and making homemade wine. He loved to spend his leisure time at Spring Lake, the Jersey Shore and take annual trips abroad back to his family home in Santa Croce Camerina every March to attend the Festa di San Giuseppe. Most of all, he cherished time spent with his family and friends. This beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend shall be sorely missed! He is survived by his two adoring sons Salvatore J. Nolfo of Stockton, CA, and John A. Nolfo, daughter-in-law, Nicole Nolfo of Jackson, ex-wife of 38 years, Josephine Nolfo of Stockton, CA, and five beautiful, loving grandchildren John, Nicholas, Salvatore Christian, Sebastian and Gianna. He is also survived by his sister Christina Nolfo Nicolini of Santa Croce Camerina, Sicily, Italy, brother Pasquale Francesco Nolfo of Hawthorne, New Jersey, as well as many nieces and nephews in New Jersey, California and Sicily, Italy. He was preceded in death by his father and mother Agrippino Nolfo and Guglielma Rovetto of Santa Croce Camerina, Sicily, Italy. Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Thursday, August 6, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home located at 111 Union Blvd., Totowa. Funeral Mass to follow at St. James Roman Catholic Church located at Totowa, 10:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Maryrest Cemetery Mausoleum, Mahwah. Visitation hours are from Wednesday, August 5, 2020 from 4:00 p.m., to 8:00 p.m., at Festa Funeral Home.
