Peterson, Louise E. passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2020. Louise was born in West Paterson and was a lifelong resident of Paterson. She is survived by her loving children, Dr. Paul Peterson III, wife Karen and granddaughter Ellyse; son, Peter J. Peterson and daughter Pamela Peterson and three sisters: Antoinette (Ann) Dorning of West Paterson, Carmeline Lundy of DE and Rosemarie McLean of SC. Louise is predeceased by her husband, Paul Peterson Jr. and brother James A. DeVito. Louise attended Saint Bonaventure's Grammar and High School in Paterson. Prior to getting married, Louise worked as a secretary in New York City and also for Bogue Electric in Paterson. After raising her three children, Louise returned to work for Stern's Willowbrook for 15 years and then retired. Louise was an active parishioner of St. Gerard Majella Church of Paterson and was a member of the Rosary Alter Society. Visitation will be Friday from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa with funeral mass to follow at 11:30 AM at St. Gerard RC Church, Paterson. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Gerard Majella Church of Paterson or Valley Hospice.
