Fertonani, Daniel age 81 of Lafayette at rest in Lafayette on July 17, 2020. Dear son of the late Angelo and the late Elsie (nee Cantaluppi) Fertonani. Loving brother of Richard Fertonani, Terry Smolinsky and the late Julia Fertonani, the late Louis Fertonani and the late Andrew Fertonani. Brother-in-law of Linda Fertonani. Uncle of Angelo Fertonani and his wife Pam, Julie Fertonani, Robert Smolinsky and his wife Terry, Joyce Schwarz and her husband Ted and Mark Fertonani. Great uncle of Stephanie Schwarz, Mark Smolinsky, Robyn Hudson, Kyle Fertonani, Justin Fertonani and Dr. Jamie Schwarz. Daniel was born and raised in Fair Lawn. He graduated Fair Lawn High School and played football there. He graduated from Rutgers University and then continued his education at Fairleigh Dickinson. Daniel also played semi pro football for the Haledon Hobarts. He was a teacher in Paterson and Bogota and finished his career as a Guidance Counselor for Green Brook High School, where he also coached wrestling. After retiring, he lived on and worked his family farm. All services are private at the request of the family. Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa is in charge of arrangements.
