Recently we lost our Aunt Phyllis, my inspiration to become a nurse. Her dedication to her patients and family was admirable and one to emulate. She put herself last, always. A true hero....So I find today, National Nurses Day, most fitting to honor you, our hero. I am confident that you will continue to care for us from above. We love and miss you!
Love,
Cindy, John, Haley and Jack

Last weekend we lost our Aunt Phyllis, a rock at the center of our Cappucci family. Growing up, she was our “first responder” for all sicknesses in the family. If somebody got sick, Aunt Phyllis was always there to offer support and advice! She would offer advice on what doctor to see, what medicine to take, and she was never shy to let us know if we should just “buckle up” and ride it out! Nonetheless, we always knew that she cared deeply about all of us. We loved her for that, and she will be missed!

This weekend I lost my Aunt Phyllis. She was a fantastic aunt and a loving person. She dedicated her life to helping others. She always put everyone else’s needs before her own. If anyone had a medical issue in the family, she was always there to lend a hand and to provide medical advice. She was at the heart of the Cappucci family and in us she will live on. I know she is still watching over all of us and for that we are blessed. Thank you for being a loving aunt and a wonderful person. We love you and we will miss you. Rest in peace.

Phyllis and I met a long time ago when Annmarie and I were in medical assisting school. We lost touch and then reunited back in 2006. She was a great person and a wonderful traveling friend. We did so many things and always had a good time. She was there for me when I needed a shoulder to cry on or when I needed a nurse to take care of me. I will miss talking to her at night and getting free medical advice. She was a great lady, fantastic nurse, good friend, and an incredible mother to Annmarie and Vincent. She will be extremely missed by all, but I know she is at peace and not suffering anymore.
Love you Phyllis and RIP with your family in heaven. Margaret

Aunt Phyllis was my mothers best friend. So we called her "Aunt" . She was so much more. She was a funny, kind gentle loving woman who could give as much as she took. She was a trip. She had serious moments about life and the hospital and then let it go with a chuckling type laugh that just took you into her heart. My mother and her were like sisters. They loved and talked then complained about each other. But in the end they were simply two girls, raised with little in Paterson, both being first to graduate from college in their families and go on to nursing. Both are RN's. Phyllis was a loyal friend to my mother. Phyllis is and always will be a great person in my life. Ann Marie and Vince, you and your families were her strength, joy and love. I hope you find peace and remember the amazing woman your mom was. I know I will.

Ron are so genuinely sadden by the loss of cousin Phyllis. She was an extraordinary person who will long be remembered for her kind and generous heart. Ron always spoke so fondly of his "Cappucci" cousins. Over 26 years ago, shortly after Ron and I were married we received a call from Aunt Anne and Uncle Louie. Phyllis was with them and I was able to speak with her as well. She and I hit it off, Eventually we were calling each other periodically and exchanging nursing stories, family information and solving the problems of the world. Although Ron and I are in Missouri, we have a deep love for our "Cappucci family" and share with you the loss of Phyllis. She was a gracious and wonderful matriarch of the family. We hope some peace can be found in the knowledge that she is with her parents, John and Larry enjoying all of God's promises. God peace be with all of you.
Love, Ron and Maria Ingino

Our heart is breaking today as we found out our dear Phyllis went to heaven. Our heart aches because her nursing home has been on lockdown since early March and she was not able to receive visitors. The last time Iwe were with her was on Thanksgivingwhen we bought her up to my daughter Lauren’s for dinner and to enjoy the family and grandchildren. We all had a beautiful last time together. I pray she is living it up in heaven. Thank you Phyllis. Love you

Today I lost my beloved mother. My heart hurts. She will be greatly missed. It is time for you to rest Mom you gave it a good fight.
You leave our family with many memories. You were always the one to take care of anyone who was sick or needed a helping
hand. You were a nurse 24/7 even when you were not at the hospital. Your generation of nurses were in a class by themselves.
Even when life was full of ups and downs you always made sure the family was taken care of. Thank you for being my mother
and giving me life. I am the person I am today because of you. Please watch over us. Rest in peace.I love you Ann Marie.
