Obituary of Nunzio N Di Taranto

Di Taranto, Nunzio Nicola "Nunzy" age 89 of Totowa at rest in Totowa on April 22, 2020. Beloved husband of the late Addolorata (nee Panico) Di Taranto (2011). Loving father of Cornelia Costa & her husband Antonio of Totowa, Rosanna Di Taranto & her husband, Jeff Thomas of Little Falls, and Vincenzo Di Taranto & his wife Dora of Totowa. Dear brother of Antoinetta Di Taranto of Italy and Rosetta Di Taranto of Italy. Devoted grandfather of Nicholas Anthony Costa, Nina Maria Addolorata Costa, Joseph Pio Khoury Di Taranto and Anthony Vincent Di Taranto. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Born in Montescaglioso, Prov. di Matera, Italy he came to the United States in 1956 residing in Paterson before moving to Totowa in 1972. He was a Textile Printer for Missbrenner Prints, Clifton for many years before retiring in 1996. Nunzio was a devoted parishioner of St. James RC Church, Totowa and participated with the Senior Center in Totowa. He had a green thumb and enjoyed tending to his vegetable and floral garden (the best in town). He was passionate in helping people find homes and helped people come to the USA. He enjoyed making wine when he was younger and enjoyed being home with his "famiglia". He spread acts of kindness and his favorite line was "Better Days Are Coming". Nunzio belonged to the Printers and Engravers Association of the United States. In light of social distancing, all services of Nunzio will be private. Arrangements are by Festa Memorial Funeral Home 111 Union Blvd., Totowa.
