Panico, Sr., Rocco A. "Rocky" age 59 of West Milford at rest in Somerville on April 9, 2020. Beloved long time companion of Carmen Quinones and her son Willie of West Milford. Dear son of George Panico, Sr. And the late Anita ( née Soriano) Panico. Loving father of Brianna R. Panico of Nutley, Rocco A. Panico Jr. and his wife Britney of Fairfield and Joseph M. Panico of Nutley. Dear grandfather of Lucas and Sophia Panico. Brother of Cindy Merkin and her husband, Michael Merkin, MD of Warren and George Panico of Secaucus. Uncle of Marissa Notaro, Alynn and Julie Merkin and Georgia Panico. Born in Newark, he lived in Nutley before moving to West Milford eleven years ago. He was a Butcher for Shop Rite of Lodi recently. He has been a butcher for many years. Rocco belonged to the Meat Cutters Union. He was a Minnesota Vikings fan, and was an avid N.Y. Rangers and N.Y. Yankee Fan. He was an avid Bar B Que Chef and Smoker who also enjoyed to travel. He loved the outdoors and liked to do home improvement projects. Out of respect and concern for public safety and the current mandate of social distancing, all services for Rocco will be private.
