Obituary of Domenico Russo

Russo, Domenico "Mimmo" age 90 of Woodland Park at rest in Pequannock on April 12, 2020. Beloved husband of the late and former Providenza Targia (Feb. 2020). Loving father of Josephine Martino and her husband Alphonse of Succasunna, Maria Loganchuk of Pompton Plains and the late Lucia Russo (2010). Dear grandfather of Samira Small and her husband Dylan, Faiez Abuali, Samantha Loganchuk, Veronica Loganchuk and Alyssa Loganchuk. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Born in Palermo, Sicily, Italy, he came to the U.S.A. in 1972 settling in Brooklyn, NY then Paterson before moving to West Paterson in 1980. He was a Laborer for Matera Construction, Paterson for many years before retiring in 1994. Mr. Russo was a parishioner of St. Bonaventure R.C. Church, Paterson. He enjoyed tending to his vegetable garden as well as watching world soccer. He loved people and cherished the time spent with his family. Donations in his memory may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, P.O. Box 50, Memphis TN. 38101. Out of respect and concern for public safety and the current mandate of social distancing, all services for Domenico will be private. The family has chosen to arrange a memorial at a future date when the pandemic is over. Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa is in charge of arrangements.
