Epifania was married to the late Romeo Guzman on March 21, 1955 from this union they had 3 children. She dedicated herself to her husband and her children, sacrificing luxuries and her own needs to stay home and take care of them. Her goal in life was to make sure her children grew up with strong morals, work ethics and to be kind. She came to New York to join her husband on December 22, 1963. Her children joined her two years later on August 5, 1965. Epifania's goals for coming to the United States were to give her children a better future, to reap the benefits of what this country has to offer, and a better education, so they could be self-reliant and productive citizens. The family moved to Brooklyn in 1973. She worked full time for a while until the family relocated to Paterson, New Jersey. This was a difficult time for everyone, but she faced challenges with strength, integrity, and dignity. She never complained; she never gave up and she never let her children down. She always made sure her children were okay. She was courageous in life, through her illness, and her fight against cancer. She never was depressed, and never gave up! She enjoyed being with her family, close friends, and most of all she enjoyed going to the casinos. On Tuesday March 10th she passed away in New Haven, Connecticut. Epifania is survived by her loving children Christine, Jerineldo, Roque and Romulo, her five grandchildren Leilani, Franklyn, Darlene, Ryan and Amaya.
