Obituary of Lucy M. Mancini Del Vecchio

Mancini Del Vecchio, Lucy M. (nee De Sisinno) age 95 of Totowa at rest in Paterson on March 8, 2020. Beloved wife of the late Alan Del Vecchio (1994) and the late Henry Mancini (1996). Loving mother of Barbara A. Filan and her husband Joseph of Totowa, Cathy J. Mancini Platvoet of Saddle Brook, Robert R. Mancini and his wife Patricia of Lincoln Park, Ronald W. Mancini and his life partner Barbara of Venice, FL. and John R. Mancini and his wife MaryAnn of Pompton Lakes. Dear grandmother of sixteen and great grandmother of twenty seven. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Born in New York, NY, she went to Italy until she was thirteen years old. She came back to the U.S.A. in 1937 settling in the Bronx, NY before moving to Totowa sixty six years ago. She was Owner/Proprietor for Acme Weaving & Cleaning, Paterson, for many years before retiring in 1990. Lucy was a parishioner of St. James R.C. Church, Totowa and was involved with the Mother's Guild there. She was a member of the Totowa Seniors. She was a member of the Paterson Opera Guild as well as the Metropolitan Opera House, New York, NY. She sang for various local nursing homes. Lucy travelled to Italy many times. She enjoyed trips to Atlantic City. She was a great Italian cook and enjoyed tending to her vegetable and floral gardens. She loved to entertain with dinner parties especially with her family and cherished any time spent with them. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Thursday at 10:45 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. James R.C. Church, Totowa at 11:15 AM. Entombment to follow at Garden of Memories Mausoleum, Washington Township. Friends may visit Wednesday from 4:00 - 8:00 PM.
