Obituary of Mary N. Marzella

Marzella, Mary N. "Dolly" (nee Barbieri), age 88 of Toms River at rest in Toms River on March 6, 2020. Beloved wife of twenty six years to the late Raffaele Marzella (1992). Loving mother of Jennifer Marzella of Toms River, Kristen Marzella of Toms River and Angelo Marzella and his wife Marisa of Toms River. Dear grandmother of Gina Marzella, Danielle Marzella, Giuliana Marzella and the late Anthony Raffaele Marzella (2012). Sister of Rocco Barbieri of Franklin Lakes and Ronald Barbieri of Wolcott, CT. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Born in Paterson, she lived in Paterson and Totowa for most of her life before moving to Toms River six years ago. She was a Registered Charge Nurse in the O.R. at Barnert Memorial Hospital, Paterson for thirty eight years before retiring in 1990. Mrs. Marzella was a parishioner of St. James R.C. Church, Totowa. She was a member of the Italian-American Independent Club, Totowa. She enjoyed trips to Atlantic City to play the slot machines as well as putting together jigsaw puzzles and doing home crafts. She cherished time spent with her family. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Thursday at 9:30 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. James R.C. Church, Totowa at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may visit Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN. 38105 would be appreciated.
